Homemade Seeded Crackers + Beetroot Hummus
2 recipes in one post, get excited š Homemade Seeded Crackers + Beetroot Hummus.. what a wholesome combo š
These are some of the goodies I whipped up today in prep for my retreat this weekend š
Whilst it is super cheap and accessible to buy all sorts of crackers & dips these days it is very hard to come by options without all the added shit! Iām all about wholefoods over processed foods, and these recipes are so easy it absolutely worth the time to make it yourself! This combo is an awesome snack that is absolutely LOADED with so much GOODNESS šš» .
Seeded Crackers šš¼
In a bowl mix together:
+ 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
+ 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
+ 1/4 cup linseeds
+ 1/4 cup chia seeds
+ 1/4 cup sesame seeds
+ pinch of salt
Once mixed together add 1 cup of water and let it sit in the fridge for 20 mins as it binds together
+ flatten on baking paper on a baking tray as thinly as possible! Cook for 50 minutes of 180 degrees. Half way through I cut it into pieces and turn it over š
Beetroot Hummus šš¼
Blend all together in a mixer:
+ 1/2 tsb salt
+ 1 tsp cumin
+ 1 clove garlic
+ 1/4 cup lemon juice + 1/4 olive oil
+ 1/4 cup tahini + 1 can rinsed chickpeas + 250g of beetroot (I used already cooked beets but you can boil them or roast them yourself!)
The perfect consistency!
